Accessibility statement

How we make GasPad and this website work for everyone, and what to do if something doesn’t.

Last updated 12 October 2026

Our aim

We want everyone to be able to use GasPad and this website, including people who use a screen reader, larger text, a keyboard, or reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

This website

  • Works with screen readers, with descriptions of every app screen and picture.
  • Can be used entirely with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip to the content.
  • Follows your light or dark setting, and your text size.
  • Calms its animation when you’ve asked your device to reduce motion, and its see-through panels when you’ve asked it to reduce transparency.
  • Uses colour together with words, so nothing depends on colour alone.

The app

  • Follows your phone’s text size, and its light or dark appearance.
  • Labels its controls for VoiceOver and TalkBack.
  • Uses large answer buttons, at least 44 points tall, that are easy to hit on site.
  • Respects Reduce Motion.
  • Always pairs status colours with words: Pass, At Risk, Immediately Dangerous.

Known limits

The example gas safety records drawn on this website are pictures of a printed page and their small print isn’t meant to be read on screen; a description of each is provided for screen readers.

Tell us about a problem
