What GasPad is and isn’t connected to, and where responsibility sits.
An independent app
GasPad is an independent app made by KitCode Studios. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with Gas Safe Register, the Health and Safety Executive, IGEM or any appliance manufacturer.
GasPad doesn’t come with the Gas Safe Register logo. Only a registered business may use it, and if yours is, you can add your own copy from your Gas Safe account so it’s printed on your records.
Records and responsibility
GasPad helps you record and send the results of your work. You remain responsible for the work you do, for the accuracy of what you record, and for meeting the regulations that apply to you. A gas safety record records the checks made on the day; it isn’t a guarantee of future safety.
Gas guidance
GasPad writes no gas safety guidance of its own. Where it points you to guidance, it links to Gas Safe Register’s own pages, so what you read is always the current word.
Manuals and fault codes
The manuals directory links only to manufacturers’ own official websites, never to search engines, forums or file-sharing sites. All manuals and fault code information are the property and copyright of their makers, and GasPad holds no copies. Makers move their pages, so a link may sometimes be out of date.
Calculators
The gas rate and pipe sizing calculators are aids. Pipe sizing covers natural gas in copper tube only and its figures aren’t copied from BS 6891. Check results against jobs you know and the standards before relying on them. See the Terms of Use.
This website
The people, businesses, addresses and figures shown in pictures on this website, such as Sam Taylor, Sample Heating Ltd and Smith Lettings, are made up. Gas Safe number 123456 is an example, not a real registration. The app screens are shown as they appear in GasPad, and some details may change between versions.
